Only saw three riders from DHBC this time . . . must have been a lot of conservation happening for Ken Dinnerville
This was also reflected by low entries in most grades.
In E Grade, Leanne took off like a rocket on her new? Fonriest (a new bike every week) and I held her wheel for about a lap and a half before getting dropped to the back of the bunch. I thought I'd get a good draft behind big John (recently from QLD, he stands about 7' and rides one of the biggest frames I've ever seen). However, he too was feeling the pace and soon there was a gap opening up to the leaders. I managed to keep sight of the leading 3 riders but couldn't make it across. When the third rider punctured in the second last lap, I was given the podium spot.
I lap average was about 3:40 (fast for E Grade)
D grade also had an eventful race with the headwind getting a bit stronger on the main straight. It was good to see Chris taking out 1st place by half a wheel. Well done

Congratulations Stretch.
Congratulations Chris, I'm assuming that's Chris R? Is Chris going to C grade?
