I've been bitten by the track bug.
Lindsay helped source a track frame for me, which is currently being repaired by Peter Bundy.
I have a stem and bar, but am lacking a crankset (pref 175mm) and a set of good wheels (tubs or clinchers). Not fussed about looks, as long as they are in good nick and won't let me down while on the track. Actually I am partial to a retro/classic look anyway.
If anyone has suggestions or can help PM me or text me on 0426 897 247.
Thanks
Marc

175 is too long for a track crank set, you need to go to 170. And if you want to be retro, then you need 165 cranks. Also get BCD144
OK, then 170mm cranks will do.
Believe function/safety takes precedence over style.

I may have some cranks you might be interested in. I need to hear back from STA insurance before I give anything away. Also may need to get the assessed to determine their condition post-wreck. They would be square taper and would probably need a new chain ring (its a bit worn, 48 teeth). Not sure on length, maybe 170mm?

Am a bit confused about bottom bracket clearance and pedal strike.
I was told older style bikes had higher BB? Measured my 1980s track bike - it is 29cm from the ground to the centre of the BB crank bolt.
While most track cranksets appear to be 170mm, I keep coming across 175 and even a 177.5mm ones. A bike fitter told me I need extra long cranks and that 170mm is way too short. Would this be a problem at the Tempe Velodrome and especially Dunc gray?

Don't get too hung up about crank length, foot velocity is more relevant. To keep it simple, 175 with a 50t chain ring is equivalent to 170 with a 49t chain ring or 165 with a 48t chain ring
