Because old bike sound better

Breaking the Principle of Silence
... Until iPods/race radio/Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwin came along.
The first time I rode with the DHBC group I fell in love with the sound. I still love it new or old the sound is wonderful. Also love it when I'm occasionally stopped on a fast descent and bikes come past at speed, it oddly sounds so much louder than when you're on the bike.
Personally don't feel the old and new stuff sound that different ... maybe with the exception of Con's whirring brake pads on wheels, which sound like a landing UFO.
My personal favourite sound is one of intermittently swooshing wheels (1:37 in the video). Only hear this when someone much faster is going past you, but notice I can never hear it when I overtake someone.
