Hey guys,
I got a taste for race wheels last week, but I need to give them back to Peter Bundy.
I was just wondering if anyone had some I could borrow for the 500m tt and maybe the clarence street cup?
Will trade for beer.

The rule for race wheels is that if you crash them you have to be able to afford to replace them. Same goes for punctures on super light weight tubulars.

Is that an offer Alex?
Would you like a swipe of my credit card and my social insurance number?

I dont like lending my wheels out because I'd struggle to ask someone to pay me the five thousand plus dollars which it would cost if they crashed them. If you need a set im happy to lend you my zips, but id have to get around to reglueing them.

There's almost $10K retail replacement value there...I wouldn't be asking to borrow them.
Maybe if they were offered to me
...but I don't think there's much chance of that happening considering I crashed both of us out of the madison.

Ask Brownie about the time he destroyed Brad's Ghibli...

Ya, I totally understand. I had a moment on Sunday where a SA chick almost took out Madison Law when I was sitting on her wheel, and all I thought was "if they crash I'm going down too, OMG Bundy's wheels"
But I'll totally take you up on the offer to use your zipps. They were kick ass the last time I used them.

I agree best not to ask as it puts people in a bad position. If offered and the replacement rule is understood - totally cool.

I've been using a FFWD five spoke - I don't have a lot of experience with different wheels but they sure as hell are nice! I haven't tried the FFWD disc though, but I assume its good too.
