Frame painter?

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a steel frame painted?
A bloke at work used to race many years ago and wants to refurbish his old bike.

He lives in Collaroy, so somewhere on the North Shore would be good.

The best in Sydney is Peter Fleming from Star Enamelers. He restored one of my Colnagos and I'm just about to take my Five Star down for his magic. His work is exquisite. He just restored Lindsay's PX10 too, and according to Lindsay, "it's better than original" and faultless.

You will wait a while, because he's in demand, but you can jump the queue if you go through one of the bikeshops he deals with.

Usual waiting time is around 6 weeks, but you can have it back in around a week if you use a bike shop that sends their frames in to him. Peter Bundy, or Ashfield cycles. Probably Bike addiction too...

Thanks,

I've passed the information on.
Apparently the bike was built by Jim Bundy 20+ years ago.

Chances are it was probably painted by Star Enamellers 20 years ago.

They still do all of Jim's custom frames. They did Rainbow's green frame with the reflective flecks. Also doing Lindsay's custom Jim Bundy right now.

And my Pinarello. mmmmmm... a rich red over chrome plate. Peter did a superb job on the lugs. It only took three months, but I didn't really care.
