Hey guys if anybody is interested in coming out and racing, I'm riding the State Criterium championships at Homebush on the the 26th of April. Should be good fun, I know the guys who have entered so far & as yet it won't be crazy but there will be more entries coming.
Entries close next weekend.

Well looks like I wont be on a new bike before this race, time has beaten me. But on the plus side i've just looked at the entry list and Alex R is in there as well, so least i will have someone to sit on the back with me.

Hey guys it was a great day out today at Homebush. The circuit is pretty awesome. We were doing abit over 40kms/hr down the front straight into the head wind and 50kms/hr down the back straight with the tail wind. There are two main corners, the first coming out of the straight which is a sweeper and if you lean is pretty easy and then a corner at the other end into the straight which is much tighter and requires good accelleration.
It wasn't my day, I pulled out half way with trouble breathing after being sick all week. My legs felt good and it didn't feel super tough but I din't have it. I saw crafty at the start of the race and he said all cyclist are always either 'sick,' 'haven't trained' or have some other excuse so I won't fight him and will just accept that it wasn't my day.
One of the boys who I race regularly on the track, Mick Curran (central coast) took the silver in the sprint behind Richie Lang. He's spent alot more time focusing on Crits than me and it has paid off! But it was good to see, I will do it all again at the Sydney Road titles in a few weeks & hopefully can pull togther a high finish.

At least you gave it a crack. Definitely not my type of race.
I've been sick and haven't trained too, though my form seemed better than expected during yesterdays ride, but i expect i would have been out the back fairly early in this crit.
As for the Sydney road titles, i'm planning to give that a crack as well, no expectations though.
