Down and out in Maroubra Junction
Some of you will know that I was hit by a car yesterday on Anzac Pde at around 6.20pm. I'd come to a stop at a set of traffic lights then got going again when I was hit from behind by a commodore at approx 30/40km/h. I flew over the car and landed on my back and hit my head with a major whiplash impact. Yes I was wearing a helmet but I still had a wound to my head. I was incredibly lucky to have many able health professionals around me including an emergency nurse. I was taken to St Vincent Hospital and drugged up and had lots of scans done on my head and neck before finally being released late last night. I can't explain why or how it happened and what caused the driver to be so negligible in rear ending me. My new bike was completely destroyed. At the moment I'm waiting for the results of the police report into the incident. Thanks to all the club members who've contacted me and offered their support.

Glad to hear you are on the mend Adrian. The photo gave us all quite a scare! All the best...
Hopefully it is a comprehensive and sound police report.

What was the attitude of the driver? Hope nothing short of super apologetic, mega helpful, they provided all their details and they were insured to the hilt
Awesome you are OK. That sounds a damn ugly accident

Never a good article to read Adrian.
Sorry to hear you were hit from behind while going about your lawful business.
Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery and compensation for bike, helmet, injury, time off and inconvenience stemming from the actions of that driver.
