It's Back on! ********** Sunday 3rd of November***********

For those you whom are looking to take a step closer to the Waterfall Training Ride this maybe the activity you are seeking!

I am doing a mellow ride on Sunday 3rd of November, from the Cafe to Como and Cronulla and back to the Cafe again. It is 60 km round trip and it will be a NO DROP RIDE. We will wait at the top of each hill. The average speed will be around 22kph ish! Coffee in Como or Cronulla. It's mostly quieter roads and a bike path or two. No one will be left behind. Saturday Slowies riders are encouraged to ride and are very welcome.

This ride will suit any type of bike so long as you have working brakes and a sense of adventure.

This is the route
http://www.strava.com/activities/70299375

We will ride out at 6.30am from the Marrickville Cafe. We will then turn off for our jaunt at Tempe. We should be back between 9.30 and 10.00.

Please note, this is not a Club sanctioned ride and you should have your own insurance etc etc etc.
Add your name to the list

Yes, I want to come on the Como Cronulla Coffee Cruise!

Tooronga Terrace is the road along the railway from kingsgrove to Beverly hills. Where you turn right off that to go up the hill to Ponyara is where the IGA is. Don't worry about me seeing you - at that hour on a Sunday, Bevo isn't exactly a hive of activity.

This will be the first DHBC ride I've been on that doesn't involve a 9k ride to get to the start. Though there will still be a ride home.

Dave.

Sorry Dave and Dougie,

I have screwed you guys up by not providing correct details. The closest intersection IGA is on is Toronga Terrace and Warrawee Place. I will wait there e.t.a 7am, but at this stage I'm unsure of my availability, as Halloween may go long into Saturday night.

I will try to confirm on the night before whether I'm coming along or not.

Dave, I'm planning to cut through Wolli Creek if you don't want to 9K ride home.

Jonathan

Rod and Tam would like to tag along. We are Saturday Slowies but have been in training and will keep up if suitably caffeinated. Will join you at Kingsgrove (start of Vanessa St). Slight possibility of no-show due to a 50th tonight, but birthday boy is more mild than wild so should be starters.

Had a great ride this morning! Thanks all for waiting at the top of the hills for me.
Dougie, thanks so much for organising it, even if I did want to get off and throw a tantrum on the first hill!
Special mention to DJ Barry for the encouragement and beats.
Thanks all :)

Yes the ride was fun. Bit surprised by the sudden climbs though, but they were fun too in hindsight.
