This is slightly bike related, but I'm telling the story here anyway.

I went to Assos today to return some leg warmers I had purchased online as I decided they weren't suitable. Luckily they have a returns policy where you can get a complete refund if the item doesn't fit etc (I bought it from their online shop).

Not only did I get my money back, but the guy gave me a pair of socks that are worth $79.

I found two things about this completely hilarious. Firstly, I was returning an item, therefore taking money from them - and I get given something for free?! At first the guy started talking about them and I thought he was trying to sell them to me, then he told me to take them.

Secondly, how the hell does the cost of a pair of socks get to be $79? They are made from the same roubaix fabric as their arm warmers etc - and even though the actual amount of material used is less than would be for the Assos arm warmers they are still $10 more expensive.

Man today I got side swiped by a car on my fixie and stayed up he decided to go onto the anzac bridge and didn't think about being able to go left of strait from that lane. My foot came out and I nearly stacked it after he went past as I totally leaned into the car, but kept it up so yeah I'm sure he must be scraped up a bit!

I got side swiped by a car on my fixie last night on the way home from track. It was on the roundabout that takes you onto Unwins Bridge. I had right of way and was already on the roundabout, the guy paused but I guess didn't look properly and accelerated ahead. I thought he was trying to run me down on purpose for a second.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to stay up, but me and my bike were ok.

First time I've been hit by a car, and the second time I've come off a bike this week. Well, the fifth time if you include mountain biking stacks.

Yeah it has been a pretty unlucky week. No further damage to the tail bone. My left butt cheek is now in a small amount of pain so I really just need to do some damage to the right one to ensure an even spread of pain across my back side. Awesome.

Yes, but it doesn't specify whether that's 3m down or up. If you climb to 3m above sea level and it rains, expect your camera to break.
