So the Garmin site is telling me there's a firmware upgrade from 3.0 to 3.2. Given my disastrous history of Garmin upgrades and the fact my Garmin is finally working fine I'm wondering if anybody else has done this?
Changes made from version 3.00 to 3.20:
Fixed display of power meter serial numbers.
Made changes to support manufacturing.

Haven't stuck that problem
I've done the 3.0 to 3.2 upgrade. No issues (yet). I think it was mostly for power meter compatibility and I don't have one of those.
A slightly different startup screen, otherwise I can't tell the difference.
Sadly my speed hasn't improved as a result of the upgrade.

I upgraded to 3.2, thinking it'd be a harmless upgrade...painful mistake..
I've transformed a perfectly working edge500, which picked up satellite lock within a minute, to a unit which on my commute home now takes up to 20 minutes to get a lock (this is after I've re-set the satellite co-ordinates)
I'm also getting the weird oscillating speedo (between 1km/h & 5km/h) when the bike is stationary too.
I agree with Mike - if it ain't broke don't upgrade unless you need the power meter stuff
btw - anyone know how to remove the updates?
Yes I know how to remove updates .. I've done it three times !
See this post >> http://dhbc.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php? ... in+upgrade
However it appears that Garmin have removed the firmware files from their website. I have copies of 2.8 and 3.0 if anybody wants them. Strange also that it seems I was still gettign the "multiple heart rate monitors found" errors with 2.8.
