Australian Story tonight was fascinating - the story of a hit and run death of a cyclist in SA. It is a bit distressing, so I'm not entirely sure about recommending watching it on iView if you missed it, but what happened after his death is interesting.

It looks like a group in SA were so outraged by this case that they've started a group called Wheels of Justice http://www.woj.com.au.

Yeah AliG - Stuart saw it and was quite distressed about it. I think I will watch it tomorrow recorded....today has been a hard enough day as it is.

here's a timeline of exactly what happened and yet at his trial McGee was acquitted of causing death by dangerous driving, but convicted of the lesser offences of driving without due care and failure to stop and render assistance following an accident. For that he got a fine. Its a disgrace.

Thats such a sad story, and that report must just be so upsetting + frustrating for his friends and family (well upsetting + frustrating for everyone). I can't follow the reasoning behind those decisions at all...
