Inner West Courier today has an article and photo promoting the Club on page 20.

Following Waterfall last Sunday, Simon invited members who could make it to meet up at the Velodrome at 9 on Tuesday morning for a photo shoot with the Courier's photographer, Craig Wilson.

Tim, Anthony Pham, Jessica, Mending Matt, Michele and myself turned up in Red.

And so did the World's Fittest Magpie.

We did numerous laps under relentless attack to the delight of Craig (The Cruel) photographer.

"Just one more with all of you smiling this time when it pecks your head/ears/eyes/helmet/spine"

At first it was a little disconcerting out there on the banking with bits of helmet being chipped off and loud clacks ringing in your ears.

And then it was just ridiculous. This maggie was on a mission. I think each of us got hit about thirty times!

Then it eased off for five minutes, and we all grudgingly admitted that we missed the attacks - it was all too calm out there on the track.

Had no success in convincing Craig to do a lap to "see what it felt like".

Anyway, he has said he will put up some shots for us all to see on a website shortly. Will let you know.

Jessica, of course, has managed to get herself on to the next page of the paper as well.

She and Simon in a nice shot at the Business Achiever Awards presentation night.

So get the paper and check it out!

Thanks for the link and what a story. And after all that, no attacking magpies in the photo.

See this YouTube link for the answer to stopping attacks it seems - who wants to try this at Tempe ?

Great story Peter, it was a fun morning. That bird really was angry!
I am also very impressed that I managed to get onto two pages, remarkable!

Craig Wilson, the photographer from the Inner West Courier, has uploaded a series of shots from the Velodrome morning, just as he said he would.

After checking for copyright issues with Stuart last night and getting the OK, the link follows.

Warning - Very Cool Pics of Tim
