Sorry to hear this Jonathan, that's really sad news. Might be a good idea to post this elsewhere as well, try here - http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewf ... 3fac5722b9.

This is bad news indeed. Are the police going to arrest these people or is it a case of "we know who they are but getting the proof will be harder"?
Might also be a good idea to post the pics. Hope you get hem back real soon.

They might also turn up at a certain bike shop as did Simon Sharwoods.

Hi Simon,

first port of call!-

the police had stopped a guy wheeling 2 bikes down by the train station really early in the morning- took details etc-i came back home at lunchtime reported them stolen and they've been chasing him since-never at home-so frustrating, it has really shaken the feeling i have about community-grr!

hopefully, i'll get something back at the end- i'm off to Adelaide tomorrow for their bikeSA annual tour- it'll be an even slower ride through the Barossa, so it could be worse!

good to hear you got your bikes back- i can't look at the photos of mine!!

jonathan

good news

Police have caught the guy who did it and he's in court next month. Marrickville police have been great.

Bikes unfortunately are long gone,,

Insurance company has been great too and will replace bikes

a lesson for me is to write down serial nos, luckily i had recepits and recent dated photos- difficult otherwise to prove ownership

now the pleasure of getting back on the road on 2 wheels.. :D
