Clubsters

If you are interested in racing, this is a great race to enter - if you can secure an entry. It usually sells out in less than 30 minutes.

Even if you are nowhere near race fit - like me - it's worth entering. There are always lots of DHBC entries and it's an easy drive down in the morning of the race.

Here is the blurb from CNSW:

Just over a month to the 59th Ken Dinnerville Memorial Handicap which is being held in the beautiful southern suburb of Albion Park. Entries to this prestigious event are expected to sell out quick, and with limited numbers available to all riders, it is imperative that you register swiftly!

ENTRIES OPEN, 9:00AM, 19/04/2016. YES, THATS TOMORROW!

Entries will be available through the usual Cycling NSW entry portal online and also over the phone by contacting the CNSW office. If you have forgotten your login details for entry, we ask that you contact Cyling Australia, where they can supply you with the applicable details. There is a strict "ONE ENTRY PER PHONECALL" rule for this event, which in context means that you cannot enter a family or a team over the phone via one phonecall. No exceptions will be made to this rule. If entering by phone we ask that you have your current 2016 RACE membership and Credit Card for payment at the ready.

I've raced this race every year since I started racing. The longest entries have been open is until the end of the day and the shortest was something like 4 minutes. Get on at 9am and book your spot

Hmmm, $75 this year. Two years ago it was $47, last year it was $55. Why the steep increase in entry fees? Traffic control possibly? Entries up from 170 to 200 riders. The super bunch will be huge!

Well I got on the system at 9am and tried continuously to enter but the server simply wouldn't let me in. So for the first time in my racing career I'm not in the race

That's a shame Mike - it was behaving a bit funny for me too. I jumped on the waiting list last year and got in. Worth a try.

Bummer mike. I got in at 9:03am. They were talking bookings at 9:40. So the extra 30 riders and extra entry fee pushed back the sellout time by 15 mins

I'm in, I emailed CNSW and explained I was behind the Great Fire Wall of China. They must of got the email before 9.40 so I'm super lucky

Would thousands of junk kms be considered in assessing "outstanding form"?

Reports?

Amy scored another cheque, Peter with another top 20, Raph with a crash, Craig a flat. Plenty to write about :)

The traditional post Dinnerville dinner fish and chips at the shop at waterfall on the way home hit the spot!

Simon B and myself dropped in to check on the "World Famous" Paul's burgers at Tom Ugly's Bridge. While not a bad rendition, they are nowhere near as good as the burgers from Mittagong Charcoal Chicken!
