I am heading down to Jervis Bay this long weekend and was thinking of riding some of the way there and some of the way back. I'm not really familiar with much south of Wollongong, or with the inland route through Bowral. Does anyone have any suggestions for good rides that I could do either inland or coast route? The entire 200ks is beyond me and I was thinking something closer to 80-120ks each way. Also, if anyone is keen to join on the way down this Saturday 6th June let me know as I'm pretty flexible.

Thanks!

Emma
This is the Route for the "Johnny Warren Classic" you could modify it at the end, turning left for Kiama rather than right for Jamberoo. it's nice, quite protected and very scenic. Safe riding

Thanks Dougie. Looks like I'll be meeting Robert at Stanwell Park so the route is pretty perfect :0

Anyone have an idea for coming back from Bowral way?

Hi Emma,

See here for possible return route from Bowral to Sydney (via Picton and Razorback mountain): https://www.strava.com/activities/234068746

Hahaha

You'll have to teach me how to cut up a Strava file route into its constituents :)

This is amazing Paul-at first all I saw was the elevation and then I realised, If I drive to Bowral and ride home, it's almost all DOWN hill :D  I'm not like you guys with the loving hills thing!

How do you get a closer look at the maps? I can't see which roads you took-it doesn't look like a highway..

Hi Emma,

Is this better? https://www.strava.com/routes/2494534

Only slightly scary bit is the M5. There's a generous shoulder / breakdown lane to ride on, but need to be particularly watchful at the exits.

Cheers
Paul

Yep. Thanks Paul. I've ridden the M5 a bit. Since they resurfaced its really fast but every time I ride it I ruin a tyre!
