Run, walk, swim, stationary bike, indoor soccer, weight training... And the list goes on.

go down to the track on monday or wed and do a roller session.
i recomed weights and squat jumps, losts of squat jumps, and when your legs hurt, more squat jumps
then grab the fixie and go for a ride.

I have been learning to run with my cousin, we reached the whole beach on Tuesday, that's almost ten km. I limp all morning after each milestone though.

Run backwards up hills, fast. Just don't slip over in the wet tho.

And do spin classes at the gym.

Yeah spin classes are only as hard as you make them though, so wear a heart rate monitor, and try to keep it high in the hard bits

running - i run home twice a week (5k's) rain hail or shine and aim for sub 5 mins a k ... it sucks i hate it but it does keep the fitness there ... just make sure you have good shoes and i started out walking and slowly increased the amount of running. I also do it tues and thurs so as to allow some recovery due to the different muscles / potential for joint damage.

indoor trainer / rollers is also good plenty of folk here can give good advice on that
