As a woman in our club, (note no opportunity to be counted as fast), I'm keen on this. Good find Stuart.

If we want to enter a team then applications closed yesterday BUT I'm sure they'd entertain late entries. My comment re 'fast' was because the men's races are for A grade, whereas the women's race is 'open' - no offence meant.

Apparently there is racing at the Bicycle Film Festival too on the 8th Oct? I don't know too much about it but apparently last year a girl won 3 bikes because there were no other ladies around. Of course, she might have just been very quick. I can't make it but someone else can?

As part of this event, Bicycle NSW is running its annual "Spring Cycle". The ride is 55K starting at North Sydney riding over the harbour bridge, through the botanical gardens, city and inner west to Olympic Park. With a ride back home via the cycle way it will be close to 80K. Maybe a pleasant alternative to Waterfall. Below is the link to the event.

I'll be doing the Spring Cycle to Olympic Park and back home instead of Waterfall. It's about 85kms in total.

If any other members are doing the ride let me know.

I think it's a good opportunity to wear the jersey and help build the club profile.

There are a few female starters and women can now enter C grade. Guess that means be fast or be dropped! :/

They changed their schedule to include C and B grade

• 0900 – 0940 Junior’s time trail (4 laps)
• 0940 – 1020 C Grade Criterium 30 mins + 3 laps
• 1020 – 1040 Hand cycling event (20 mins)
• 1040 – 1100 Juniors A/B criterium (A - 12 minutes + 1 lap, B - 8 mins + 1 lap)
• 1100 – 1200 A/Elite Teams Criterium 50 mins + 3 Laps
• 1200 – 1300 B Grade Criterium 40 mins + 3 Laps

Entries closed yesterday, but you could try your luck considering that they messed with the event list
