If I don't feel too tired after tonight, I might come with you guys to Sutherland - all this rain and I'm missing getting on the roadie.

I'm tempted too, but like Jo will make my mind up in the morning after tonights racing. I can't make it to Tempe but I do have a spin class in the arvo.

I'm going anyway, whatever happens.

Stuart, do you mean you will start at 6 to ride to Sutherland?

I'm pretty tired after tonights racing. This old ticker hasn't got even a slow ride in me at 6am. I will gladly have a sleep in. Have fun guys.

Thanks Eleri for organising this.

There were three of us a couple minutes late and we chased, but were sure there was no one else, until we met Eleri and the two Anthony's at the last servo before Waterfall. Then there were five (given we had one drop off and they had one drop off as well - sorry Stuart)

At Waterfall we ate food bars, but mine had weavils in it. Oh well, with all the beer turkey and chicken and ham, who needs a food bar.

I didn't want to go in as it had been at least 6 months, plus 6kgs extra since last RNP. It was hard at first, but got into a rythym and it was a great ride at the end.

Matty Wallman met us at the servo but rode off in front - its OK Matt we met another Matt and he looked after us.

As per above line we were passed by three riders as we entered Taren Point Road. One had curly blonde hair and wore a Garmin jersey, and looked like a Cronulla boy, so we quickly hooked on and sucked wheel all the way back to Bestic Street. I must say, my Domestique Matt White did a great job right in front of me, slicing up the wind along Grand Parade. I had a taste of what used to drive Lance along.

We are thinking of doing the same on Friday at 6am at Mick Mazzas. Jo, I hear a rumour that the next celebrity on the Road could be Cadel.

How good was it having our own domestique!? I didn't know he was famous but did think he had nice broad shoulders and a good pair of legs :)

We had a good tow up to Engadine from Sutherland as well with a large bunch of riders from no particular club but all riding very nicely at just the right pace.

Thanks all and great work Simon, first ride back after a long break!

Eleri, I didn't get a chance to say thank you for organising today's ride - so thanks!

I was a beautiful day for a jaunt through the RNP. Sorry I had to leave you all but unfortunately I had to be back in time to go to work.

till next time :D

That Matty Wallman character sounds like a real jerk!

I think I saw CJ Sutton at Stanwell Tops.

Matt. When they first rode by there was a fourth guy in his Sky kit. He left us just before crossing the bridge. That might have been cj sutton. They both are from Cronulla I believe.

Thanks Eleri for organising the ride. Had a fun time out there.

It did look a bit like Sutton, but i didn't get a great look at him to tell if it was him or not. Still pretty cool to get a lift back with those guys!
