Need an early finish, so I'm heading out to Waterfall at 6am on Sunday. If your planning to join me, then let me know, otherwise I head directly from Tempe

I think that I hit about 65km going down there.

Mike, that's assuming that you kept pace with me? If you didn't then you didn't hit that rpm.

I stayed in the small ring, and I hit 153rpm, that was the highest that I saw on the computer.

Yes I matched pace with the geared bikes going down hill. But it killed my legs and as a result I was dropped going up the other side, eventually catching up to the new guy, sorry don't know his name.

Why did you do that? Was there a particular reason for staying in the small?

Was going to ask about that yesterday...noticed you in little on the front little on the back, with a pretty ugly chain angle.

No particular reason, I try and avoid small small, not for the chain angle, but because I get more noise out of the system in that configuration.

I was probably in it on the big dipper as it isn't a super fast descent, and you will need to shift down on the other side, so I just don't bother changing to the big ring.
