Hey guys is anyone interested in going & racing the Macarthur CC Open Criterium on Sunday 22 March?

I"m entered & have a spare seat in the car if anyone wants to come out? Should be fun....

I want to do one of the Macarthur races this year, but I'm not ready for this one. Perhaps the hill climb later in the year.

I could be up for this, but I will be in a lower grade then you, which means you'll have to be out there earlier. I may enter regardless.

I'm entered. I can always drive out as well if more people want to enter. You have no excuse Alex. Tim you have an excuse with that bike of yours, but if you do well on it imagine how you'd go on a better bike, it could be motivation to get a new road bike.

So transport.... As im assuming at least Christian, tim and I are going to be in D grade, and with a 7.30 race start, we will have to leave at 5.30 - 5.45 ish. Google estimates a 50 min trip.

The grades are in, Simon, Tim, Alex C and myself are in C grade. Somehow James has been put into D grade. Alex R is yet to be graded. I don't like the idea of having Simon in the same grade as myself....

This means anyone traveling with James will be out there earlier then required, but it is only by half and hour.

i think im going to be killed....

edit- actually i might be ok, but only if we go counter-clockwise around the course. That way there is only left hand turns and hence it's just like riding on the track.

Must be all your track racing that's influenced your grading. Crit's don't really suit me anyway, but i'll have to try and do something.

We need to sort out the transport. Since James and Alex R are in D grade, thats a 7.30 start, will want to be there by 7, leaving here by 6 should do it. I can drive, but I can only take two bikes and two people, that'll include me. How many people can we cram into the other cars, then we can work out the best ones to take.

Just some brief results from this mornings racing.

D Grade - Alex R 3rd, James F 5th

C Grade - Simon L 1st

So, a successful morning of racing, someone might put a race report up later, but overall everyone performed very well.
