Hi Everyone,
Wednesday night brought balmy conditions and riders took full advantage, thanks to a beaut training session from Phil Kelly and his helpers :D . The session focused on individual time trials and finished with some exciting races. Well done to Caitlin and Tallis who each managed a first in their sprint races - it's great to see Caitlin getting amongst it. Best time trial results to Bill Bolton in the U17 Men with 13.78 and honourable mentions to Tony Achjian and Alexander Kapruziak. Tom Bolton was fastest in the U15 Men with 14.55. Honourable mention to newcommer Oskar Wesley-Smith with 15.57 on his final run. Caitlin (U11) managed a blazing 20.97. Bill and Alexander fought it out for an exciting 1-2 finish in the Miss and Out, with 3rd to Tony and 4th to Tom (who was up against older riders). Full statistics have been emailed.

Start Times
To get the best out of the time alloted for Juniors' Training on Wednesday night, it would be great if people could be ready to roll on the track by 6pm at the latest. That said I understand how busy things can get with school, siblings and traffic etc. and your efforts to arrive as early as possible are appreciated. Gates open from 5.30pm. Don't forget we run indoor roller and stationary trainer sessions on rainy nights.

Welcome
Oskar Wesley-Smith our newest member and potential member Jake Grierson. For great information on all aspects of cycling try the Cycling Australia website: www.cycling.org.au where you can apply for membership on-line or Cycling NSW: www.nsw.cycling.org.au

Road Riding
Those interested in road riding training with the DHBC bunches on Saturday and Sunday should note there'll be a change of starting location from the 20th of August. The Saturday Slowies and the Sunday Waterall ride bunches will start by 6.30am from the Marrickville Road Cafe at 212 Marrickville Road. Juniors need to be accompanied by an adult. Let me know if you'd like to participate but have noone that can accompany you. Information on the rides is posted on the Home Page of the DHBC website: www.dhbc.org.au

Other Stuff
Congratulations to Simon Bolton on his brand spanking new track bike - we are green with envy over your red & white rig. A shout out to Adolfo and Sam - we miss you :( Club Captain Hugo Venville is due for a return next week.

That's all for this week,
till next time - keep rolling,

Great report as usual Michelle and fantastic to see such enthusiasm from the juniors, coaches and parents.

I'll have to teach you how to post these reports to the website, rather than the forum :D
