Hey guys it is all starting again & I need your support...

Just ask Matt Wallman!!!....

We are hosting the second last leg of the Sydney Christmas carnivals this year & I need some support in running it and in getting as many riders out there as possible.

It is on Saturday the 2nd of January, racing starts at around 6:15 pm, gates open 5pm at Tempe Velodrome.

Firstly it would be great that anyone who is available on the night. Has a current racing licence & a track bike enter the tempe leg or if you have the money all five carnivals. This can be done through the cycling nsw website by clicking on the online entries section on the left:

http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/

Next if you cannot do this then you are probably perfect to help out with running the event by performing one of the much needed jobs for the night!!!! There are an array of jobs to choose from & don't worry if you have never done anything like this before because I will have plenty of people set up to explain & support you on the night.
Personnel required

· Sign on desk 1 min 2 optimal

· Commissaire 1 min 2 optimal

· Starter, Lap Counter, Judge 1 min 2 optimal

· Result keeper 1 min 2 optimal

· First aid officer 1 min

· Canteen 2 min

Please private message me or talk to me at the track if you, your partner or friend are available to help out & yes we will have a BBQ!!!!

Tragically, that is one of the most flattering photos ever taken of me. The expression above is a little number I like to call 'Volunteer Now'. I'd encourage you all to do so lest I christen a new look, 'Vengeful Rider From Scratch Race Who Can't Count Laps and Therefore Needs a Volunteer to Count For Him and Who Missed Out On The Sprint Because No Such Volunteer Was Present.'

Priority List
1. Ride the carnival
2. If you can’t ride the carnival, offer to help out.
3. If you don’t feel confident in 1 and 2 come and cheer on DHBC.

hi simon, whilst I would love to ride I think I lack the experience being a very fresh newbie. More than happy to help out though in whatever job needs filling!

Simon - is there a round of the Juniors on as well on the day and if so will we all need to be there earlier? see here >> http://www.rawtrack.com.au/index.php/topic,144.0.html It says "The program runs over 5 rounds and can be changed by the supporting club. "

No juniors at Tempe

The Junior racing has been fantastic however the numbers have been hovering around 20.

so there will be no Junior carnival

if there was it was pre-organised for Southern X to assist with the running of the event.

I'm watching the 512 km composite loop. It might just be ok.

Oh, hang on, was that another rolling clap of thunder?

Hey everyone,

A huge thanks to all of you who came along, helped and/or cheered. This was by far the best racing I've ever had at Dunc Gray, EVER!!!

I had such a good time I even missed one of my races. I feel spoilt that we have such a wonderful and supportive team of people.

Just awesome :D !!!

If anyone found a double ended 14/15 spanner with a red rubber handle - it is mine, so let me know. Some how I think that one is lost :(

Such a shame it wasn't at Tempe - it would have been the best atmosphere ever!
