Hey guys I just want to say a big congratulations to everybody in the club who rode RAW this year. We had an excellent season as a club. From Ian Winning the Hillbrick frame to seeing so many new faces go through the begginners grade was really amazing to watch!!

It's pretty special to win the club championship as it shows that we are not only the most active racing club in NSW right now on the velodrome but we are also the most welcoming and friendly club in NSW. But this is one for all those people over the past five years who have had someone say to them; "Dulwich Hill I didn't know you guys still existed?!"

Club Challenge

2003 Bicisport
2004 Waratah Vets
2005 Central Coast
2006 Bicisport
2007 Lidcombe / Auburn
2008 Illawarra
2009 Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club

Crafty also said to me last night that he hasn't confirmed the prize yet with Tinelli but it looks like we will be getting retro jerseys!!!! More than likely with the value of the prize at a very subsudised rate...

Well done Team DHBC :D
Thanks Simon and others for your behind the scenes work for events that have built a strong club, DHBC is on a roll
I made it to RAW for just one night just to try it out before it finished for this season and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the competition. I'll be making a few appearances next year for sure :D
I'm looking forward to the upcoming Track Opens soon.

GO Team DHBC

Amazing result for DHBC. Fantastic club with great camaraderie. Thanks for all the help I have received since my first track session with Lindsay 1 year ago. I feel very privileged to be able to ride with such a great bunch of guys and look forward to wearing my red and white jersey with pride for a long time to come.

As a newbie to track, having so many DHBC riders in all RAW grades was a great way to start a racing season. With 5 or 6+ DHBC people in Div 5 through out the year, it felt a lot more enjoyable. As Mark L mentioned, a big thanks to Simon, Lindsay, Kevin Llewellan... and all those people in the back ground that organise events/rides, stay with new riders, to keep us all interested and keep us competitive.

Stuart did take video of most of the races on the last night, so I will post them up on here by grade as I complete them.

Academy Award to Sean for his Jailbreak performance...unbelievable, I still cack myself thinking about it.

RAW was great - thanks to Crafty et al, and also thanks to the DHBC organization and the events staged. DHBC riders got stronger each week, very impressive.

The RAW 2009 DVD is hilarious and very entertaining...can't wait for 2010 season. (Don't want no short people...la la la). :D

The Inner West Courier has picked up on our win, too!
http://inner-west-courier.whereilive.co ... f-fortune/ for pretty much the same repeat of the press release that has appeared elsewhere!
