forecast just got worse. on the plus side - it got better for sunday
if
1. my cold stays very mild; and
2. the weather looks ok
i'll probably be there.
if I am not - do not wait for me - as I may also just decide to sleep in what with my cold and the forecast and all

For those who read the books for the interesting anti-heros, I highly recommend Joe Abercrombie and the first law trilogy. Glokta the crippled torturer is very bit as good a character as the imp.

4 Gorges - 5:30 Sunday 9th June from MRC
I am planning on doing the four gorges on Sunday 9th June. About 130 km. Leave from MRC at 5:30. Return around 11:30. Cruisey middies pace. If you want to smash yourself - do it on the hills - not in between. I know there are a bunch of the RNP regulars who have not done this ride. You should. Its l...

Battery life is an issue with smartphones. As is durability. I don't want my phone mounted on my stem. Although wahoo have an ant+ case. And soon will have an auxiliary battery. http://www.wahoofitness.com/Products/Wahoo-Fitness-Wahoo-Bike-Case-for-iPhone.asp The other option is a Bluetooth hr strap...

And ATM I am without a handicap. Fwiw I rekon I belong with Phillip.

Leave pass purchased - I'm in.
V happy with whatever route you want peter and the cruisy middies pace. Plenty of oppurtunity to smash ourselves on the climbs if thats what we feel like.
You are just round the corner from me. Assuming no other takers meet at cnr llewelyn and edgeware at 5:30?

Preliminary results are up. Andrew, you beat me by 42 seconds! Doh, Doh, Doh! Amazingly close considering we didn't ride together at any point. 5 minutes slower than I thought (combination of odd garmin fail and user error). Still, pretty happy with that as a first attempt. scarily close Phillip.

FWIW - I am just going to turn up and expect my bike to be safely transported by bus with no pedal removal or bar turning. If there is any stuffing around - I go for a ride to Oberon or something. And never enter anything like B2B again. Chances are it will be fine - just an over cautious bureaucrat .

If I can get a leave pass ill probably ride out. Takes me about 1:15 at a moderate pace if I go straight up the wakehurst parkway instead of climbing allambie rd. probably slightly faster if i just slog it up pittwater rd. happy for people to join me, but you should be genuine middies (TM) or faster.
