Re: DHBC Criterium Championships ROUND 2 - Sunday 17/04/2011

Soccer's cancelled for tomorrow, so if it's not raining, I'll come along. I'll join the group at the corner of Milton and Georges River Rd. (Simon, I managed to quickly get a racing licence today. If you send me your email address (or whoever, if anyone needs to see it), I can send you the email wit...

Re: Women’s Introduction to Velodrome Cycling Program

Jess, it was a great idea to run this course. Despite our initial reluctance to let go of the rail, it was much more fun than daunting in the end. Thanks Lindsay, Jess, Simon and Eleri. And good work finding some new riders, Mike and Lizanne! Alison (who, judging from the photo captions, is now blon...

Re: Loop the Lake 2011

I did the ride, too, but minus a DH jersey. My bike had an easier time of it, but a puncture for each of the guys I rode with, including a long nail going through one wall of the tyre and coming out the other side. But, for all the punctures, it felt like a really safe ride and a beautiful loop. Con...

Re: Women’s Introduction to Velodrome Cycling Program

Sounds great! I don't have a track bike and my shoes are Shimano SPD mountain bike shoes. I don't have any track/road shoes, but could bring some compatible pedals along if that helps!

Re: James Williamson Enduro Challenge

I'm registered, but now not sure whether I'll go or not. Dad in ICU... So, I won't make up my mind til I have a better idea of how he's going.

Re: Spectator Ride Report TDU Stage 3

One of those bottles thrown by the riders went straight into my face! Luckily it was only half full. I must have left Stirling a bit earlier than you - straight after the race finished. Hundreds of recreational riders on that road and the professionals who didn't need to go to the presentation etc. ...

Thanks! Well, it was a pretty slow ride in Glenrock today, but lots of fun, so I'll enter too.

Re: James Williamson Enduro Challenge

Does anyone know if this is an easygoing race? ie would I be side-swiped by dozens of riders as I lift my bike over logs and wobble through sand? I'll go into the bush tomorrow and see if I've become braver with age.
