Having you considered the Shimano RS80's? Same rims as the 7850's, almost the same weight and much cheaper.
I have a set of these and they are really nice. Probably the best value for money right now. Another option to consider is getting a set of TWE wheels built.

With how skinny some of those guys manage to get, I don't doubt the a lot of them would be using it. The pressure to get weight down to impossible levels must be massive. You would probably find that they have all used it at some point in the past.

I'm keen, unless I decide to ride the mountain bike. Yeah same. But me riding a mountain bike depends on Christian riding a mountain bike so it's all in his hands. Oh and I am only keen for this if you will wait for me on the hills... In return I will make you all look super glamorous just by ridin...

I need to do some km's on the fixie and I never seem to make it to a Waterfall ride these days.
Anyone wanna do an early Friday AM fixed ride? Maybe to LaPa out via Botany Bay and back via Maroubra or something? It can be called Fixie Friday

Well this is certainly creeping up on us. We need to start thinking about transport arrangements as well as stuff we're bringing. Christian and I will be bringing a 2 room tent, that I guess fits about four people? I need to confirm this though. Tim will be shacking up with us. The map of the villag...

Yeah, I don't mind just using the brakes on the way down the big hill. I don't have a flip flop to change gears, but even if I did I doubt I could be bothered.

I will be running the same I did last year... 44/17 which is 69.9". I figure that if you can do Waterfall on it you can do the fixie centry on it. The fact is that you are going to have to brake going down Macquarie pass anyway, and it's not a race so you aren't going to get left behind. There ...

I want to start doing some bigger rides. I seem to be having trouble convincing people to do it though. The problem is that I want to do them at lower efforts - like not over 75% which can be relatively slow. Did Stanwell tops the other weekend and it took over 4 hours

I appear to have lost a knee warmer and fear I might have left it at RAW on Friday night.
Let me know if you happened to have picked it up by mistake. The brand is Assos.
Thanks!

High chance of rain
I don't mind the rain, but if it looks like it's going to be as bad as Captial Punishment apparently was then I would consider not riding. Only because I can't afford to replace bits on my bike right now!

Are you talking about a crown race setter? That has to be my favourite tool. Mmmmm big crazy tool for doing such a simple job. Does anyone actually own one though? You can get the old one off with a hammer and chisel, unless you have the special tool.
