We don't need another bunch definitely. A heap of 28s have gone up and now the middies group is quiet large. Sure a few strong riders will break away, but the group does seem to naturally split anyway. If your good enough to ride in this bunch you are good enough to find your way home solo or otherw...

Re: C 25's Ride Report Sunday 30th September
Thanks Dougie for taking the week we volunteered for. I just spent the morning walking in the mountains to Hanging Rock. It was only 7km, but it seemed harder than any 80km bike ride. Give me wheels any day.
Sounded like a big bunch today.

Shaun Colley is selling these track wheels on ebay. A pretty good buy. I dont even think he has used them since he bought them off Damo.

Re: NSW masters Crit and road race report
I really enjoyed that race, it was a good course, a good bunch and very quiet roads which helps. Lots of attacking made the 120 km fly by in a tick over 3 hrs! It was always going to be difficult to get a result with a big SUVelo group plus one super-strong rider from Vic who'd lapped the field sol...

Re: NSW masters Crit and road race report
Finally spotted some other DHBC'rs today for the final Road Race, in John and Wallman. I believe Wallman got 8th in his division, John was still sick and had to exit the last lap, and unfortunately MIke Austin got a flat right before the end. Peter O'Sullivan also had some bad luck with his micro ch...

It was good to see a lot of DHBC riders today having sighted JDLester, Mike Austin, Weller, Pete OSullivan, Eleri, myself and Dezzie. Congratulations to Eleri for winning Waratah Vets this morning. In the end he was relegated due to being a D grad...

The hills aren't a problem - I love setting the pace through Miranda and often try and jump over everyone at Loftus. But put a red light at the top of that hill and I'm lost trying to clip in. This is what I struggle with the most after jumping from C28s to Middies. I often drop 3 or 4 places down the group while I slowly clip in. Its the main reason I haven't tried the Fasties more often. Any tips? There are still times I struggle at middies, depending on who is riding, but it's usually...

Re: Waterfall ride: Middies vs Fasties
Based on my one ride on 28s, I think on first glance 28s are theoretically 12% harder, but realistically about 30% harder. The main difference is how up-slopes and accelerating out of the traffic lights are handled. It also seemed to me there was an almost deliberate attempt to drop riders at the T...

The race sounds like fun, but we don't have to accept the challenge really. And we can make a counter offer on the conditions. How about Alex as Track Captain and I confer. You can't get any more readier than that. You'll be good weight for the downhill run.Well I've been doing some great carbo loading. We went to killer burger on friday night and I'll tell you that gave me enough kilojoules to ride the event at least 3 times over
