I believe we have stronger teams this year.
Last year we entered 2 vintage teams, but heard we might be entering more this year.
No aero bars, no super light carbon frames, no sperm helmets and definitely no 'winner takes all' attitude.

We still expect to beat u guys though

Not sure if you are writing in relation to road or normal commuter bikes. If the latter, might want to include a mention of these wheel lights for night riding. There are several on the market.

This climb began one day after the show.
I've since been told it is probably people logging in to have a sticky beak at the photos, commentary and videos.

Re: CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! Sydney Classic Bicycle Show, Sat 23

Can I please not do BBQ? I'd rather be a cashier please. We still need 1 more cashier. A few more hands on the BBQ and people to help out with crowd control. 4 will have specific tasks: Karzie on the video camera. Roger W as a judge in the concourse event JohnH as a judge in the concourse event Tim...

Re: CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! Sydney Classic Bicycle Show, Sat 23

Hi all, So far have 10 volunteers. But we are short on crowd control people. Would be good if we had another 5 more for crowd control. We also need 2 cashiers. One to handle registrations and another to help Sasha (M'ville Rd Cafe) at his stall. 4 will have specific tasks: Karzie on the video camera...

Re: Come and try the track - Saturday 2nd March 1pm

No excuses of that sort for me.
I'm a wimp.
In fact, I don't even run on wet running tracks or treadmills either.

Marc - are you sure there is a "come try the track" session on on Sat 9 March, 1-3pm?
I believe Colins post was meant to be put on Forum on last Friday.

Too much rain. I too don't own a car. That's my excuse.
Just read Colin's posting. I'm back in for Sat 9 March, 1-3pm.

Perhaps you need big bells...
Lots of people have smartphone and earplugs. Very annoying. Not much we can do about that.
I am tempted to buy an Air Zound, but feel it is overkill.

Do events like this have Masters categories?
Would hit the big 50 by then, will potentially be the youngest (not necc the fastest) in my category. :)

Thanks Alex. Would it be possible for someone to have a look at it to make sure it is serviceable? These shelters are expensive, one 3x3m shelter cost approx $150 to hire over a weekend. Let me know how it goes. If no one can help let me know.

marque hire?

Hi all
Was going to google this but thought I might give the forum a go first.
I am considering hiring some marque shelters for the upcoming 'Sydney Classic Bicycle Show' on Saturday 23rd March 2013 at the Tempe Velodrome.
Anyone have any suggestions or contacts?

So that's a yes for the Chook Wings? How many kg's do we need? How will they be priced? there's about 10 wings per kilo give or take. I'll need to pre-cook them in an oven and then BBQ on-site for the last bit or they take ages and will burn, not cook.
Cook an amount you feel comfortable with.

Smaller bunches, slower pace and effective calls will mitigate the risks. Notice the bunches are getting bigger. Rode with the 28s for the first time since mid 2012 and the bunch was about 20-strong on the return trip along Botany Bay. Led the group but found it hard to hear the calls from behind. ...
