I went with my son on Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed ourselves. While it was mostly elimination sprint the highlight for us was the Madison. It was both chaos and theatre and yet you could still work out what was happening. What was really interesting was to watch the Madison from the top of one of...

Huw a great result. The bloke on the Hillbrick sounds like the people Fouad ran into in Sutherland who also had the view that you need to be considerably more senior to be a member of Dulwich Hill. It is either that or we all just age well! You are looking good for 58!!

Social ride on the 23rd of November

Hi

Is this ride listed on the social pages on the club site still happening and if so is it on the 23rd ( a friday) or is on that weekend ie the 25th. I assume that the 24th would be no good due to the election. :?:

Couple of race reports, Spring into Summer and Waratahs

Just a quick report on two races I did this weekend. I raced on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was the Lidcombe- Ashfield Cycle Club's Spring into Summer series race 4.It was held at the Tennis Centre at SOP. It was a standard criterium race of 30 mins +2 and a big field. I raced in D grade with abou...

Good report Weiyun.

I found that two days in bed with virus was not the best preperation. Both Weiyun and Michael L were very supportive in their waiting for me at the top of hill etc and it was great to ride in together.

Next year I have to do the return ride as well.

I think you have to take the teams into consideration. Over the last 9 years we have seen how important teams are to winning. Evans may have had Horner who in his own right had a wonderful Tour finishing 10th I think and Coni. Horner however was no Popovich or Menchov. And even these super domestics...

Well done Michael and Frank!!!

btw: How many people were there in C grade last week? The number seem to be dropping from across the grades.
Adrian

There seemed to be about 15 to 20 each in B and C and about 15 in A but no A elite ( I assume they were racing at SOP the next day)

Race Report 20 October Heffron Park

Saturday was a warm and windy day with strong winds blowing both in a southerly and northerly direction at the same time or so it seemed. You seemed to ride into the wind on the pimples out the back and then into the wind going down the straight! There were only two red devils racing Frank Campbell ...

New front wheels what to do?

Hi folks I would love some advice. I need to get a new front wheel. the rim is going on the current front wheel. My options seem to be: 1.Replace the current rim with something better like an Open Pro and keep the current hub that is working ok, however it is the Felt stock hub and I am not sure how...

Credibility is back for the Tour. 3 cheers! I agree that is does restore credibilitiy. It would have been better if the UCI and the Danes had acted sooner and told ASO about it at the time. In the end Russmussen is being kicked out for lying nor doping. Cycling is going through a lot of pain at the...

Yes it was a sad day, however I think that both Rogers and O'Grady have handled it in true Aussie spirit (what ever that is). I don't think the Astana boys will actually do it. Vino is too undisplined to command respect for the whole of the three weeks. He is more likely to ruin Kolden's chances if Kolden stay his loyal lieutenant. If Vino go off attacking and can't take his troops with him then I think the other Astana ri...

Personally i believe the Ultegra cranks are lighter and Stiffer than the FSA Gossamers that come with the Cervelo, however the FSA's should do fine until it comes time for an upgrade. You are right James. In Ride #31 (Spring 2006) there was a test of 12 leading cranks for lateral rigidity and the U...
