A message from Waratah Masters:

The Ashfield Cycles / Specialized Cup will be held at Eastern Creek Dragway on Sunday 2 June. This will be a graded scratch event with 5 grades competing for over $3,000 in race prizes, plus all entrants are eligible for a raffle prize worth a further $1,200. The event will be an 'Enduro' format with races lasting between 120 to 90 minutes, depending on grade. Racing starts for all grades at 8am.

Entry costs $25 and is via the CNSW web site. Entries close 19 May, so enter now if you would like to join us. Hope to see you there.

What does "graded scratch" mean? Does the fact I don't know mean I shouldn't do it? I'm assuming "enduo" means it's a long race, is there more to it than that.

Basically means a mass start event that are broken up by grade, normally by the hosting clubs handicapper. The vets ran an endorsement on the last long weekend earlier this year. In C Grade it ran for 90mins. Prime came at 60mins from memory. Enduro's work for me at the moment so am slightly keen. I agree that there are frequently guys in lower grades who are burgling for sure....

Its likely they will use your Waratah Vets grading, but they are best to answer.

I'm going to Calga to do the ITT that morning

So I pulled the trigger and am now entered in this one. I'll be entering B Grade. Who else is going?
