M5 expansion and our Waterfall route

The NSW Government has just posted information about planned extensions to the M5 motorway.

Analysis by the Cooks River Mudcrabs, a group that works to clean up the Cooks River and whose emails I receive, suggests that the wetlands we travel through on bike paths during our return journey from Waterfall would likely be impacted by the plans.
The plans are now entering a community consultation phase.
I'm not saying this is good, bad, or otherwise, or urging action, inaction or indifference!
But if you'd like your say, now's the time.

I've been working on the M5 west upgrade & F5 upgrade for a few years now. The upgrade to the corridor means widening the road on the inside (taking the median out and replacing with lanes). The M5 east would be tunnelling which is very expensive and probably not go ahead due to the state of the NSW government's finances.
