Hi all
I've been lucky enough to acquire an early NSW Cycling Union (predecessor of CNSW) 'trophy' issued to a DHBC rider in 1931.
The engraving says"

A quick search comes up with a 110 mile road race organised by the Marrickville Bicycle Club on the same date.
R. Prince raced as a junior in the DHBC from at least 1929. Not all his attempts were in vain.
On the 29 July 1929, he became NSW Junior Amateur Road Race champion when he won the Angus & Coote Open Road race held at Bass Hill. He participated as a 'junior' in the 24th NSW 'Dunlop' Premiership held in June 1929. The course ran Enfield-Liverpool-Enfield. I believe this is the predecessor to the present day NSW Team Time Trials now held annually at Nowra.
Prince was among the 242 amateurs who raced in the 1932 Goulburn to Sydney race. There were a total of 11 DHBC amateur riders in this race. He appeared most active between 1929 and 1932, however he was still racing for the DHBC well into 1939.
A little trivia: DHBC were NSW TTT champions (then called the NSW Premiership) in 1920 and 1921.
