Seeing the new year is now upon us, was thinking of opening up (very informal :wink: ) nominations for the DHBC 'Valley Wheeler' awards.
Categories are open, so if you can think of one please feel free to add to this.

Award for 'Excessive Ks on a steel frame bicycle':

Cap'n Selfie doesn't want to blow his own trumpet - but on December 18, 2013 I crashed into the back of a 4wd on my Colnago, dented the car and tore ligaments in my shoulder.
It was gloriously and stupidly spectacular!
Importantly the bike is ok, the only damage being a torn bead on the front tyre, a destroyed bar end plug, some grazed bar tape and a scratched saddle.

I think Toff deserves a prize for his punctures on L'eroica :)
