is this a rear track hub?

Nope, its designed for a screw on cassette. You can run a track cog on there but you wont be able to get the chainline right without an adaptor and there is also no lock ring thread.

this is why i'm asking

From a friend of mine looking to do a road bike to fixie conversion

well...the good news is I missed out on the back hub! But he did offer it to me for $80 as the last highest bidder...
Should I get it and try to convert it or find a track hub?

Adapters are available but i dont know about commercially, Phil Dixon's dad made mine for me. Toff or Craig Weller might have one laying around?

I think they are available but may have to buy them second hand. I had a single speed axle spare once and gave it to JohnJ. So they are available. Cant be that expensive.
