CORC 24hr mountain bike race

Anyone interested in riding a 24hr mountain bike race? Its on 11/12 October. I'd be looking at a 4 person team. If I get no takers for a DHBC team then I have another team I can ride on.

My brother in law races this every year. He loves it.

I would be keen to go down and race, but I don't have a MTB. Could I ride the Raleigh Twenty or do I need a proper MTB?

You're going to need a proper mountain bike.

Do I need a MTB racing licence? I think my current licence is only good for road and track.

Its a different license, but a day license is costs $15 which covers the event. So for a 4 person team your looking at $135 each (inc license). Its a bit pricey once you factor in transport etc. Accommodation is free as its camping.
