In training for the Mont, the boys took me to do Manly dam one Sunday morning and it was such an awesome day that I think we should arrange to do it again.

So I propose that we pick a Sunday, do a mountain bike ride (whilst the weather is still a little warm), followed by an after drink or three at a yet to be chosen pub.

Any interest?

I'm keen, its always fun to watch new people crash, or in the case of the ride Alex mentioned an experienced person crash. There will be no swimming in the dam this time though, I was there yesterday playing (working) in the water and it wasn't all that warm.

Heh, I bet Alex smashed it around there his first time. Damn young'uns!

I'm in depending on the date. Lots of things happening over the next month.

I believe it has not and I believe we should organise it.

If weekends are proving difficult, anyone up for a night ride?

Its not that its proving to difficult to organise, its just that we have been lazy. It will probably work best if someone just picks a date and we work to it.

I gave Lindsay his bike back. Not only is it, you know, his, but looking at those pictures of the Dirtworks I have to imagnine it had something to do with the current state of my neck. Have to get road fit again before I worry about the MTB I think.

^^ Sorry to hear you've been suffering neck problems Camilla. Hope you are getting that sorted!

When you do feel like making a return to the world of mtb, I am sure I will have a bike you can borrow. In fact I have three bikes that are worthy of off roading at the moment. One is sans gears or suspension but I don't mind suffering on that if you and Lizanne need to borrow the other two!

Ok girls and boys, we've been very lazy organising this. Let's just pick a date and do this.

Can I propose an alternative to Manly Dam?

Appin. Trails are miles better and it's not *that* far. Takes a bit over 45mins from the inner west.

I can take us around a sweet 25km loop that the Rock Wallaby race was run on, so those of you that did the Appin 800 will be riding some new trails in addition to the ones you already know. It's all single track, not even 100m of fire trail in total. Lots of fun flowy bits, fast bits, climby bits and lots of rocks! There's a couple of A/B line areas and an opportunity to watch someone fall into the river if they miss the bridge after the roll off :D

There's a bakery over the road for pre ride food, and a pub for post ride beers and carbs. Depending on pace the loop will probably take us about 3 hours, maybe more... Really depends who comes. Suits a social ride very well as you can wait at the end of each piece of track for the back markers.

I could do Sunday the 28th August?
