i assume it is the warm up track for both the velodrome & bmx's but i guess you could race on it too as a flat track?
There was a competition or something at Five Dock Park's BMX/Skateboard rink on Sat which I dropped in for a look. There were BMX riders doing stunts in the concret bowls. Their bike handling skill was just fantastic with somersaults, bike spins, wheel stands and more.

I was thinking the same. I recon it would be too tempting not to ride the motorpace motorbike over it.man would that get dirt onto the velledrome?
And i thought this was going to be about those crazy Japanese Kierin riders with their huge amount of body amour http://www.cyclingnews.com/trackphotos. ... 0704/armor and the fact that they ride on basically sandpaper tracks (ensures the race can still run in the rain).
Anyway, the BMX track looks like fun, though i think i'd prefer that figure 8 track http://www.consolati.com/hpr/hpr.html
