Well, i saw this too late, but i did go down to Dan Murphys today and picked up a few kegs. 2 Kegs of Franziskaner and 1 of Kostritzer :D (lowenbrau was also available).

I still need to find a good source of belgian beers, but i haven't really done much looking yet.

we had a merry time there. Marian drove there and back so no worries about driving. There were around 25+ beers to try including Chimay and duvel.
I would have been good to ride there but we went and did another ride on the tandem after the slowies ride to go into town so Marian could buy a couple of things. We made it back from Surry hills in 25 mins and my legs weren't up to yet another ride to Amato's.
They have a good range of Belgian beers at a reasonable price but unfortunately they didn't have any Murrry's.

james are you telling me that you buy kegs for home use?
Dont they have a pretty quick use by date?
Do you need help finishing them?

And Malee, riding back would have been heaps of fun!! i should have turned up and gone by bike as well!!!

I don't usually buy kegs, but it was a good deal. They're only 5L minikegs as well. I'll be needing help to finish them quickly as i don't see myself sitting down and finishing a whole keg ( i could do it, but i wouldn't), anyway, i'll let you know when to come and help.

I'm a cheap drunk, no way I'd get thru a minikeg.

25 years ago it was a different story...
