You are all a bunch of pussies, except Michael C. So is RBCC, as is Easts and Sydney Cycling Club.

I got up this morning, no wind, no rain, and some stars out partly.

I left the usual time, but no one was there. So I headed out for an 80km individual time trial.

It took me 45 minutes to actually see my first bike coming the other way.

No one passed me and I saw all up about 20 for the whole morning.

Weather was perfect. Still, to slight breeze, temperature was quite warm, although it did get colder later, and not one drop of rain. Not one.

No glass on the road either!

Waiting forever to find a partner to ride the traffic back from 7 Eleven I saw Michael coming the other way having started at 7.30am. So he joined me for a double act going back and we had the best bacon and egg wrap and coffee at Bobos.

Guys, you are just all fairweather riders I'm afraid. Although James F and C you are exlcuded from this bunch of pussies, due to your injury status.

You've improved. You used to be about 80%, and never ventured out, if there was one cloud in the sky.........

my other reason for not coming was i thought it would probably take longer today, and i needed to get to church today.

Roads were perfect. Nice and clean, and no glass.

Shoulders from Sutherland had lots of twigs and leaves. At one point just past loftus, there was a big tree all over the shoulder (sawed up at that stage)

Let's just say that I got up at 5:30am and it was still pouring outside my place. I stayed up till 6am checking weather radar. Decided to allocate Sun am for recovery... The most important part of any training! :P

Now, tell me that your backside stayed dry throughout the ride.

rollers are the only way to go with on/ off rain. more consistent training.

The irony is i was wetter after my rollers session last night than i would of been had i ridden outside...

I got lightly showered on going along General Homes, no big deal. Apart from that it was dry riding all the way apart from a bit of spray off the wheels.

I was making good pace and then I got a flat outside Westfield. After that I kinda went into cruise mode.

The coffee and B&E wrap were good.

Geoff looked the part in his classic DH long sleeve jumper.

I considered going out, but haven't gotten around to replacing the cable outers yet, and i couldn't be bothered riding my fixie, so i decided i'll have one more day of recovery.

Anyway, i should be out tomorrow. 8)

Does becoming a dad two days prior qualify one for an exclusion from this BOP?

You can't attach photos, but you can link to them if you host them elsewhere.

I haven't ridden all weekend, (unless you count a trip to work yesterday afternoon), my Saturday ride was Cancelled (I wonder why), yesterday was dubious, and I saw that there were showers forecast for today (monday), turned out I was wrong.

Currently, because my knee is dubious, I want to make sure that I am going to enjoy the ride, I didn't want to get to Stanwell Tops, have my knee giving me grief, being cold and wet.

As I said to my Dad last night, that would pretty much guarantee that I would get home, and throw the bike in the nearest skip bin.

Hopefully I will get an RNP ride I can enjoy in the next week or so.

James

Take it easy James. You don't get bonus points for rushing your recovery. But we do miss your pace on the ride.

You only have one set of knees, err on the side of caution James C.

Now, you do know you'll have to build up a 3.26kg Ridley Noah using a 51cm frame to commemorate this moment.

To Fouad,

Congratulations Dad... DHBC rules do allow for riders to have the weekend off for these events. 8)
