Well, for some reason i haven't been able to get onto the forum or website since last wednesday or thursday, just in case you were wondering what happened to me. Seems to be better now, though i may dissapear again for a while as our connection gets upgraded in a few days.

It's not your connection. I had the same problem but access seems OK from about Monday this week. Explains why the forum has been so quiet! Still a bit quite for some reason......

If he doesn't know why I'm mad, well I'm not going to tell him.

Forum is not working for me from firefox, but is working from IE. Firefox tries to download something instead of opening the window.

Ok, so you IT guys also have this problem of adressing issues without referring to software version numbers. And I thought only IT illiterates have that problem.

The beast isn't the latest bike either.

I've just checked the company internal download site, I'm permitted to use 2.0.0.3 so I'll download it.

True. Though it's hard to have an open source bike.

I haven't tried to open it yet using the same process cos I'm not oververtly concerned.

A bit wet this morning, cycling numbers were down a little.

Rode the stationary bike again this morning. The thought of riding the stationary right across the long weekend depresses me. Might give the treadmill a go again, and hopefully won't get hit by muscle cramps this time.

I brought a complete spare set of clothing to work, assuming that the morning clothes would be no good for the return journey.

You've got to be pretty dedicated to care to ride in the cold with rain. Do you just rain proof your trunk and shoes on these days? How's your new shoe cover working in this rain? I am not enjoying these early morning cold toes syndrome.

First time I had worn booties in the rain. I wore the lighter $10 ones and they did a pretty good job of keeping the water out. A little bit got in thru the tops and got the top of the socks wet (cotton sport socks), which moved thru the sock a little, but the shoes themselves are relatively dry.

I also wore leggings and while they got wet, they didn't have that soaked feel to them and when I took them off, I had clean legs, rather than being covered in road grime.

Didn't wear a raincoat, it was too warm, so the upper torso got reasonbly damp.

That sounded good. It was solid rain this morning.

As for your two booties, which one was the lighter $10 one? The one you bought from Torpedo 7? I may have to make an investment soon.

The ones you saw me in on Sunday were the heavier ones, which I brought from Torpedo 7. The Torpedo 7 ones have a zip at the back so they are easier to put on and take off.

Having used them, I have to ask myself the question, "why didn't I buy them years ago?"
