A nice justification to one's partner for waking them up at 5am in the morning as you get up to go cycling!! P.

I actually wonder if there is some thing physiological about it in your brain.

When I used to own a motor bike it didn't usually matter how bad my day was, I would get over it on the way home on the motor bike. I have had the same sort of experience on the push bike on the most part, where as driving a car just seems to make things worse!

Possible options for this are the fact that you seem to have near death experiences on bikes (both kinds), where as cars nearly hitting cars are usually just inconvenience, and you are free to just consider the inconvenience put upon you by the other driver. Another option might be that both are fun to ride, but I seem to still experience positive effects even when I am not that into riding.

I have always wondered if it has some thing to do with the balance mechanism in the brain, or the amount of focus required by the brain to ride?
