Tour prolog party

Hey all

Last night at the meeting I floated the idea of a kickoff party for the tour prolog as a social event. The tour starts on Saturday the 7th of July and I'm guessing the SBS coverage will start about 11pm. So it's a late night for some, and might cause a few sleep ins for the Sunday Waterfall ride.

Is anyone interested in attending an event ? If we can get some numbers I'll look into a venue that has decent food and drinks and a big TV, that's also open late. I have a few ideas but if anyone has any suggestions PM me or post them here.

As a secondary part, we could perhaps use it as a fundraiser for the club. Would anybody have an objection to a $5 donation, or perhaps a raffle ?

Any thoughts ?

That weekend is the Mudgee Opens, so some may be going there (i've won't as i've got something on). I'll have to check if i'm busy, can't remember if it was the Friday or Saturday that i'm doing something.

Otherwise, i would suggest a mountain stage would be good to watch, though the big ones seem to all be during the week or on sundays, so it might be a bit difficult.

Sorry guys. When I posted this I didn't get much definite interest and didn't do much about it. Now I've got another engagement on Saturday night, so I don't think I'll be able to make it anyway.

I guess the decision needs to be made as to who has the biggest tv available for watching. If i was home i'd say come over, but maybe later in the race for one of the mountain stages, i'll see which one is most suitable.
