I read the news report earlier. Cavendish appeared to claim he was hit hard. Personally I can't see him getting hit 'hard' :shock: . Correct me if I am wrong. Seemed to largely go over his helmet.
No excuses for the idiot spectator.

At that kind of speed, all the impact energy will go down Cav's neck/spine. It's pretty serious!
