Brains Trust

Just getting going on the rollers. So far so good. Keeps the kids entertained.

How much do they wear out tyres? If I really need to I have an old set of wheels with some thread bare tyres that I could use on the rollers if wear is an issue.

they wouldn't wear tyres a lot! they arent like a trainer, I would say they are a lot better than riding on the road or track for your tyres

Thanks Tim about the tyre wear. My old trainer used to chew through tyres.

Anyone recommend ideas / links on training routines for rollers.

(we mainly use rollers for track training, so our regime may just get you really good at bits of intensity :D

Mainly to improve pedaling technique and for fitness improvement as work/family commitments limit how much time I get to train on the road. I would like to eventually get down to Heffron Park and have a dabble in D grade.

Would also like to one day have a go on the track. At 80kg I was never going to be a climber.

Next two goals are Fitz's Challenge and the Alpine 250km in January
