Just discovered that it's best to know the way back if you're going to get dropped on Watrefall ride. It seems that going to Cronulla on the way back is a bit further than planned. Fortunately the good burghers of that town are very helpful with their directions. My public line is that I deceided if the legs weren't quite up to the pace of the 28s they needed a few more ks to get stronger. Still... might avoid that route next time

By the way, what happened to the 25s who apparently didn't make it to the cafe?

hmm interesting route choice Adam. Just where did you go wrong I'm wondering to end up there? Best to always pay attention to the route so as you get to know the way home!

I think he secretly wanted to go to the beach. Either that or he is subtly making a point that he should have got an Edge 800 and not the 500.

Doesn't the C28 have a ride leader or two?

There's a left at Taren Point Road that would have been really handy. Still, I nevr understand a route till I have to make some decisions. Anyway, didn't I claim it was deliberate to get a few mor ks?

Cronulla is a nice ride in its own right. Turn left off Taren Point Road at Captain Cook Drive and keep going all the way to Kurnell. Come back, turn left at the roundabout, go for a swim and coffee at Cronulla, then return. Takes a bit longer than Waterfall all up and there's no climbing, but it is a fine day out.

We sandbagged most of the way, Adam; then one of the guys got serious cramps and Dave the ride captain got him on a train at Kirrawee. Full marks. I rode back single as the rest had headed home. Not sure what happened to them - only three. Got back to the cafe; the remaining "28's" couldn't acknowledge another arrival (as is their want) so I headed home for coffee. Altogether disjointed. What is it with the 28/Middies mob and their social ineptitude? Some of them seem to have forgotten what a simple pleasure/achievement getting back after a long ride can be.

So, when we're not riding, it's not because we've had a late night and couldn't wake up, it's just we didn't need coffee!! :D
