Club members seem to be keen to do every crazy thing possible on two wheels, so why not on one?

Unicycles $40 allegedly down from $170

Have you bought one yet Ted? ;) Only $40, average speed 4.5kph or something. Too slow for Sat Slowies even!

I have enough trouble keeping upright on two wheels, so no. But all those clever people who can ride their bikes with no hands - I guess for them it would be no problem. If I had a lazy $200 I'd buy 5 and insist that races are run at the velodrome.

Being able to ride a bike with no hands has no bearing on being able to ride a unicycle, they are a entirely different beast.

But you can borrow my 36" wheeled unicycle, that's fast enough for Saturday slowies. As long as you don't mind looking down on everyone.

Whoops, I'm signed in as Camilla (but I'm sure she'd agree).

Mine needs a warning on it to say that I put it together. I also need a pump that does non pista valves..

Are the cranks on the correct side? Personally, I'd put the seat post clamp at the back.

Can you ride it yet?

I wont make any value judgements about your pump, but I remember the time A guy on a mountain bike walked into the track at tempe looking for a pump for him, unable to find one

So! Have you ridden it yet Tim!! I want to see you on it in Centennial Park. At those heady speeds youl be able to make an entire lap at Saturday Slowies.

(and it really is Camilla this time - got scared reading this thread for a moment, thinking I'd drunk posted or gone completely mad, but it turned out to be Ted moonlighting as me. Phew!)

The tyres are pumped, but not a lot of riding, considering leaving it at the track
