I now have a big break in the chain stay of my road bike :( Im worried that there might be damage elsewhere which I will have to get checked... Anyways, does anyone have any experience getting carbon frames fixed? Is it a write off?

Hi Patn

There is a great article in this month's (May /June) Bicycling Australia on just this very topic! it al looks very good and affordable. Good Luck, it will be very good to see a first hand report.

cheers

We send broken frames over to bike addiction to get repaired. The guy who fixes the frames used to be the composites guru at Ferrari apparently.
I have seen a trek madone that had been folded in half via broken top and down tubes repaired so that it looked like new and only weighed a bit more.

Thanks for the advice guys,

Back in Sydney now - I'll get in touch with bike addiction and will keep you posted on it.

Thanks again!
