I saw Mike C getting off the back carriage of a train at Redfern early in the week, with a track bike over his shoulder.

I saw Tim L and John N in DHBC colours at 2pm today riding home past Flower Power at Taren Point Road.

Not sure if he is DHBC or not, but wasn't he a sponsor? Anyway, I caught up with Michael Glennon near the toilets at Centennial swimming pool this morning...

Today, twice. Same rider, two different places on the bike path to Botany Bay. Perhaps the Dully Doppelganger. you know who you are ('cause I don't) reveal yourself.

Oh, and the Dully Doppelganger was a chap. So Lizanne, unless you are a hirsuite male I am thinking it was not you (unless of course "Lizanne" is your Drag name)

T- Bone, the chap may well have been your Dad. Especially if your Dad got underway early in life. I am 42 and I reckon this fellow is a good 5 to 10 years younger than me.

I recently picked up my new DHBC wind jacket and have been proudly wearing it on my daily commute. I noticed that since wearing the jacket other cyclists go beyond the customary nod to sometimes offer a raised hand, the odd “Hi” or even a smile, (yes, freaky I know).

Why, even pedestrians seem mesmerised by its presence and often shout “you go Cadel” as I whip past them on the Cooks River cycleway (actually, maybe its “you go to hell”), anyway I believe this jacket has mojo, and a mojo I’m thinking about utilising in other areas of my life.

Plan A was soon thwarted when my wife refused to allow me to wear it to bed, so plan B is to perhaps wear it when I front the next board meeting at work, I can see a promotion, if not, Plan C is to wear in the subsequent job interview.

My loose point is, there’s power in these threads I tells ya!, one that makes me stronger, faster and probably more visible,

May the DHBC force be with you

Heaps cool Michael! Keep smiling in that jersey, if nothing else, it would be nice to be known as the nicest club.

I am glad others are using the DHBC kit in other areas of their lives. I thought I was the only one. I tried wearing it to bed also, however the bride told me my "down tube" looked smaller in it. So I followed up with the customary "Spotted!" and she simply handed me a tube of ointment and nodded off.........don't try this at home.

Myself and G at the Tweed Ride. Curiously the Valley Wheeler moustache didn't raise a protest from the commissaires, as opposed to G's budgie smugglers.

I know what you look like Eleri so I would have said "hi, spotted, yo" or some other type of verbal signal of recognition. I wasnt in the park, so it wasnt me. Does Rick look like me? Is there some mileage in that for me? Could he pass himself off as the "stunthusband" in place of me when stoushing with the bride?

Well it was dark ... Others may correct me, but I'm pretty sure that Rick won't pass as you in daylight. Perhaps you could confine your stoushes til after dark.

Rode with a potential club member last night. I've seen him around the last few months. A NZ accent by the sound of it, a rugby player who has just finished his season and lives in Dulwich Hill. He was asking about the Sunday waterfall rides. I put the good word in about the club but ran out of time to get his name. Here's hoping he joins the rides in the coming weeks.

I sometimes come across the same NZ rugby guy on my commute. He is as strong as an ox and flies along.

Was talking to him about DHBC and was interested in joining after the rugby season is over.

I've just spotted someone on Railway St in Chatswood wearing a DHBC jersey but I didn't get a chance to see who it was. I'm quite interested in finding out though as I've only just moved to Chatswood for work and would be interested in knowing his route back to the Inner West!

I worked in Chatswood for years and know all the routes between Chatswood and the Inner West. However Toff still works that way, so might be able to take you thru some of them.

Lizanne, is your fixed gear the red kuwuhara with the seat way forward on the rails? If so, I saw it at Bronte last sunday. I would have found you and said hi, but I was getting a bag of ice for my wife who had just rolled her ankle on the path to the beach :( Sundays in the ER, what better way to spend them!

It was leaning up against the wall with another bike, there was a nippers sausage sizzle on. Yummy.

This morning I was coming home from work and saw Trouty riding on old south head road through rose bay/vaucluse near the diamond bay bowls club. Respect Jo, it was spitting and cold and miserable. I don't ride in that weather.

I reckon that was probably me that was spotted. I ride home down Railway street. I actually ride to work a different way to the route I take coming home. I'll probably ride to work on Tuesday, so if you want to come along, I'll show you the best way.

I spotted ex president Geoff wearing a wallabies jersey at the end of Marrickville road Dulwich Hill, and wanted to yell abuse out the window! :D this was before the game, but I was on the wrong side of the car, and we were too far down the road. Totally cute puppy he was walking though!

(is this like with the president? how do we refer to the president bit? can we still say President Geoff?)

I was heading down the king st path heading home to balmain and mike was turning from kent st into king st heading towards george st.

I said "spotted Mike" but as it's been a long time since i've ridden with the club he probably didn't recognise me.

Ended up riding in to the CBD with Strawburger in the pouring rain this morning. Nothing like a soggy gusset first thing in the morning

spotted a tall thin streak of red this morning. He was riding downhill passed Lewisham Station. I would have yelled spotted but i was singing to Bananarama at the time and i would have sounded odd.

Nope, wasn't you. This Chappie was upon a Road Bike. I am thinking perhaps Colin as he seemed to be a very tall fellow wearing a white or silver Catlike helmet.

Spotted an unknown DHBC rider at the intersection of Vardys and Sunnyholt Roads at Kings Park/Blacktown, on my way home from work this afternoon.

That's not a bad daily commute !!!

Cheers

Lizanne, in a massive bunch around the watsons bay hills this morning. Not hanging off the back, and looking quite comfortable!

I sometimes come across the same NZ rugby guy on my commute. He is as strong as an ox and flies along.

Was talking to him about DHBC and was interested in joining after the rugby season is over.
I "Rode with" the ox yesterday morning. As per normal he flew past me on the flat. Somehow i was passing him on the hills. We did this for about 20 mins before we took it easy through Pyrmont. We chatted and found out he had a flu and was taking it easy on the hills  As he has been on one Waterfall ride and intends to do more i guess i can claim the DH spotted!

And i was shattered for the rest of the day after that ride :(

Does he ride a bmc with some part of it red? There was a big strong guy that rode with the middies a few weeks back that I might be getting confused with.

The ox rides a red steel bike. I haven't seen it up close so i don't know the brand, it's usually going a lot faster than i am! I'm assuming it's steel, the tubing is thin and has the basic triangles. He said he rode slowies about a month ago.

Spotted someone of approximately Mike's build riding down Denison Rd Lewishman at 6.15pm today. Was sitting on my front porch texting Eleri at the time, saying I wasn't going to make it to the the Clarence St Cup tonight to watch Jo, Rhys, Lizanne & the crew go round, when I glanced up to see a flash of red with 4 white circles. Chased them down the side street yelling "SPOTTED" but to no avail. A wonderfully DHBC moment nonetheless.

Who is the mystery rider?

If both young men towered above me, they will have been my sons. Since Lindsay introduced me to the Best Vietnamese Roll Shop in Sydney (Illawarra Road, just near Marrickville Road, the ex-public-toilet) my sons are addicted, and demand to be taken there regularly.

I dont think any of those are his bike.

The guy that Strawburger and I sometimes come across on the city to Ashfield commute is called Rob.

He is from NZ and rides an aluminium red/white bike.

He is a really nice bloke and he is literally as strong as an ox. He pushes a big gear and flies along. He was keen to ride more DHBC now that the rugby season is over.

Rode briefly with Tim Briers as part of the commute into the city this morning.

Good to see him back on the bike.
