Have you ever wondered what is past Waterfall?

The first Adventure Ride for the warmer months will be out to Sublime Point. The route will take us out through Waterfall onto the Old Princes Hyw and out to Sublime Point, which overlooks Austinmer, where there is a great little café to refresh. Then we will head back to Helensburgh, stop in at the Sikh Temple for some photos and head back along the Old Princes Hyw and back to Marrickville for some coffee.

If you have ridden out to Waterfall and now looking to extend your ride and take on a bit more you will be looked after, as this is a NO DROP RIDE and we will ride in a bunch at all times.

Details as follows:

Date 19/11/2017

This is a NO drop ride

Ride: Marrickville to Sublime Point return to Marrickville

Start: Marrickville (post office square) at 6:00am

Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/10779513

Pace / effort: C25s / C28s

Distance: 125km

Elevation gain: 1,200m, there are no big climbs or sharp pinchers

Finish time: 12pm

Notes: Please bring 2 bidons, 2 tubes and gas, snacks and money for food

All the usual suspects.

Anyone thinking of this who might be a bit put off by the first names on the list, don't be. This is a no drop intro to longer rides. You'll be well look after by all these peeps.

I tried posting this up on the DHBC Facebook account, as you asked, but it wouldn't let me. Not sure why.

Thanks Neil for organising the ride. Thanks for your help guys and especially Mark for waiting with me. Nothing broken, except for helmet and sunnies, lost a bit of bark and huge bruise. "Skin grows back, carbon doesn't" That rock was huge, it was bad luck, but call everything guys. Ride safe.

Sounds like a great ride, other than Paul's off. Hope for a fast recovery.

And I'm hoping the powers that be support member initiated improvements to ride organisation. Facilitation is the name of the game.
