Hi all,

As many will know, Diana will be leaving us shortly to progress her flourishing cycling career in Europe.

And we’d love as many club mates as possible to join her, for one final adventure ride on these shores, to wish her all the best.

So please mark down Sunday, 1 October in your calendars (which is the Sunday of the October long weekend, and the first day of daylight saving).

Details as follows:

Summary: We'll leave Marrickville at 5:30am (or the corner of Wattle Street & Broadway at 5:45am); then ride up to Palm Beach via Mosman, Seaforth and Pittwater Road, before pausing for breakfast at The Boathouse Palm Beach (http://www.theboathousepb.com.au). Some may then choose to ride home (Option 1), and, if so, should be back in the City by late morning. The others will catch the 9am ferry across to the Central Coast (Wagstaffe). From there, we'll make our way to Terrigal via Killcare, Bouddi National Park, Macmasters Beach and Avoca. We’ll then stop for morning tea at one of Terrigal’s promenade cafes, before continuing on to Gosford, where some may choose to finish their ride and catch the train home (Option 2). The others will climb up to Kariong, then ride back to Sydney (Option 3) via the old Pacific Highway (including climbs at Mooney Mooney Creek and Brooklyn), with a pitstop at Pie in the Sky (http://pieintheskycowan.com.au). Time-permitting, we’ll finish by shouting Di a beverage or two at one of the Inner West’s craft breweries, probably Batch (http://www.batchbrewingco.com.au).

Date: Sunday, 1 October 2017

Start: Marrickville post office square @ 5:30am OR corner of Wattle Street & Broadway @ 5:45am
